Hi folks, I have recently been considering this brake kit upgrade. I do know Pomme has also mentioned these (great minds ) and a must when doing huge power upgrades to your R. They are Audi rs4 8 piston calipers with matching discs and have been specially adapted for the MK4 r32, they can be used with OEM wheels (using 10mm spacers on front). This kit will set you back £2000 inc vat & fitting. For further details please contact: Vagtech on 01525279513

This thread describes a MKV having a similar kit fitted to TSN member RS32's car.

Eventually the kit was removed due to the poor hydraulics leading to a fair amount of pedal travel.

Hi Khutula, I've just read that thread very interesting read and concerning too. I have also spoken to Vagtech in relation to this....they have informed me that this setup may be similar but they have none of these issues with their kit, as it was specially made for their company. Their customer who has got these on his MK4 is also very happy with the results. :D

Excellent that's good news - I remembered reading the thread so I thought I'd post a link to it just in case :)
Are they better than the Porsche setup? Much prefer the Porsche ones to be honest (looks wise).
Hi Rupo, tbh I have no idea? Hopefully, I will get the opportunity to meet this lucky chap who has had this kit fitted to his R. I will try and test my Porsche set-up against his and will update, but no promises tho'?
They do look amazing :xD

It could be well worth asking them about getting the RS4 Master cylinder too to strengthen up and beefen the braking system as that would assist with reducing the longer pedal travel.

- And after reading that thread, surely its the master cylinder as so much more fluid will be needed pushing those extra pistons.
that tyresmoke thread does make interesting readimg. Im going with the tt shop and i havent seen any complaints with their set up so we will see, overall its coming it at just under 2k fitted :)

Hope to get these on next friday just n time for spring fest :)
one reason because ive heard good reports on the rs4s, they are vag and made to stop a 2 ton car. along with some problems with the taroxs being very squeely as well as problems with having to swap the rears
sorry going very off topic here but what problems with the rears?
well basically my ecs rears came with a spacer but unfortunately when i got them powdercoated the place did them all as one, so if i wanted to change them to the taroxs to get the warranty (as to get this you need both the front and rear kits) and this would mean changing with a r owner or buying new calipers so just decided on the rs4s instead.
