Hi guys,
Doing an oil service on my r32 and noticed that the bottom of my SAI is open? Is that normal? Looks like something should be hooked up?

Or is that the feed in for it to work?
Any help appreciated.

There's supposed to be a plastic cover and a foam filter on there to prevent trash from getting sucked in.

You can just get a small filter used for a crank case breather for an air-cooled VW and fit that in the open end. Something like this
