At japfest today I asked the samco reps about a full engine bay for the '32 and ended up getting chatting for a while, then to find out from the main product developer that surprisingly not a single hose that they had said would fit an R32 mk4 and they asked me if i would be interested in helping them develop a set of hoses for the car.

So I was going to ask you guys for a hand! obviously they need the engine bay hoses to make copies of, so this is where you guys can help, for each hose I can borrow I will pay you £5 and pay for postage and you will get the old hose back (thats £110 for a whole engine bay if i'm correct on the 22 hoses and you get them back!).

Any questions drop me a PM.

Can't you take the hoses from your car and pocket all the cash yourself?

Surely that would be easier to manage than receiving and sending 22 hoses each one belonging to a different person.

Or even better, get someone with Etka to supply the part numbers to all the relevant hoses, supply these part numbers to Samco for them to goto TPS and buy the hoses themselves and copy them for their product development.

Or drop your car off with Samco, they give you a courtesy car while they take yours to bits, then you pick it up again with a free hose kit

MK4 R32 has been around now for nearly 10 years and if there was demand for these kits, Samco as a successful business, would have already have developed a set and had them on the market years ago..

Doing a set now and with the potential low volume, they are going to be very expensive in order to recover development time and tooling costs.

I was mainly asking them to just compare prices as I wanted to buy a full set of hoses after two hoses blew last month,I guess i'm just paranoid of another hose going, after mentioning that forge and SFS offer kits i guess it may have just been a competition thing and they said at the time they would think about developing a kit.

You're 100% right on the low volume demand and and potential loss however after emailing them yesterday I've still not got a soild "yes" to say that they will go ahead with it.
