Picking my first R32 next week.I have asked the dealer to fit my ipod as the car has factory fitted sat nav he tells me no problem except they have to disconnect the 6 stack cd changer is this true?

I suspect that could well be the case as the connection used for the changer is used by the ipod unless you were to use a FM transmitter for the ipod instead.
You shouldnt have much use for the changer if you have the ipod anyhow.

Are you getting a MkIV or MkV?
Yeh I'm not too woorried about using the cd changer just seemed a bit strange
Theres no need to disconnect the changer if you have a switchable ipod connection fitted. This obviously allows you to change between Cd's and Ipod connection.

I've had my ipod connector fitted to my Sat nav , however disconnected the Cd's and its tbh i wish i still had both.
G
Is this for a MARK IV or V?

I have mark IV and I have both - but I bought a Dension Gateway 400 unit which makes the two switchable, great piece of kit. Saying that since I had it installed I haven't used the CD at all, as all my music is on the iPod - go figure.

Edit: to say just read some of your others posts and you have a mark V - I have checked the Dension website and it is compatible linky
will you really need a 6 disc with an ipod? i lost mine when i fitted the satnav and i have over 6gigs of tunes at the touch of a button now, dont miss it one bit :D
Regards the Sat Nav does it have european roads on it or just Uk?
When I bought my second-hand MFD Sat Nav unit, it came with 2 CDs - one for the UK & Ireland and another one for mainland Europe.
Cheers

I have around 45GB taken up of the 60GB capacity of my ipod with around 5 thousand tracks and a fair few movies (Saw 2 & 3 and a number of Lost episodes) and a number of R32 videos too :)
