cheers, mines in bits in a garage with a blown head gasket and while its in bits im going for cams and all sorts but the tuners suppliers are saying 12 week delivery on the cams and im not waiting that long, il give them a buzz in the morning

Woooo apart from Schrick (and TT in USA), I've not heard of many manufacturers of aftermarket cams for our cars.
Who's that guy then? Anyone used these cams before?

He's 'Napkin' on here he has a V5 turbo in a bolf estate.
Does R32T and R36 FI. Really nice guy. Not sure anyone on here has used his stuff. Hes making 300mm upgrade kits for me though

The above link CHEEMPEEJ stole from me. The cams are made by Dblias from ground blanks same as Schricks just a slightly lower profile. I think he is just trying to sell off a few he has in stock as that is a big discount on Dblias cams. If you want Schrick cams a friend of mine owns a company where i got mine from which took about 10 days to get to me.

From what I've read on VWvortex (lots of people on there have upgraded cams), none of the cams effects the smoothness of the idle at all.
even the lumpiest 270/270 duration that Schrick sell don't effect the idle smoothness
What would be needed to run cams apart from a remap? Also what sort of gains would you expect to see? or does it make it a better drive, Sorry to hi jack your thread

Cheers fellows, it's getting the aggressive shtick cams, high flow headers full system with high flow cats air filter and re map, il rolling road it at an independent and post the results, pod is only half hour up the road as well so il run it up the strip a few times and post details
