Morning all,

I've ran the R32 as my every day car since buying it a year and half ago... Now I'll be moving back down to Cornwall soon, so looking for an everyday beater to just do the shopping runs etc and some up country travelling in...

I'll be looking at spending around 1k max. Any ideas?

It needs to be relatively comfortable, reliable and have space for a mountain bike / bags etc in the back...

I've been looking at Peugeot 306 1.9 Diesels and Ford Focus TDCI's... All around the 100k mark.

Cheers!

Jamie.

Another vote here for the 306TD. Also, the 1.9TDI range are pretty good options.

I run a 2000 Passat TDI which has done moon mileage but is reliable and returns good MPG

Cheers

I think a 306 Diesel is winning the race at the moment...

Just have to find one and do research!

Also, Ollie, on a side note, what do Sky offer in regards to a second car? As I've only recently insured the R32 for another year with yourselves.

Cheers!

Hi,

we can look to 'mirror' the NCB over to any second vehicle. I insure a Passat TDI here as my main car and an MR2 Turbo as the weekend toy.

Drop me a PM if you need a call back.

Thanks

I may have found a Phase 1 1.9tdi peugeot 306 for sale, has 12 months mot, FSH, recent cambelt and brakes, 109k, only a small blemish on the rear bumper and a couple of little marks, interior is great condition...

It's up for a bit more then others, but the others don't have great history etc... And it's not a facelift, but as long as its mechanically sound it's ok.

Ollie, is it possible for a call back after 5pm to discuss insurance options etc.

Thanks
