Anyway at +150MPH on Germany's finest Autobahns, the aerial doesn't slap on the roof. I know 'cos I've done it plenty of times. Also Si was booting it that time we went to Germany in convoy and his wasn't doing it either!

I read they was limited to 155mph so thought id see if it was true mine did 172mph jus had silencer removed lowered and panel filter

And i think ariel was slightly cracked/perished and duin thats jus shafted it lol

You have to remember that the speedo can read upto 10% high therefore it is possible to see an indicated 170mph at a true 155mph.

As far as i know there is a tolerence built into VW's to read higher than actual?

Not that im sayin 172 is achievable

Most manufacturers speedos read high to save any issues with regards to speeding even although authorities allow 10% tolerance on it reading low for a prosecution.

Yeah so speedo indication could be correct.....not at 172 though

A tom-tom will gove you accurate speed
