I phoned sky on friday to tell them I wanted an extra multiroom box but was seriously considering alternative companies for my viewing as I thought I was paying too much with them, Firstly they said it would be £249 for the extra box then £60 installation. I told them I would be considering leaving, They then passed me to another guy, the usual sales speel. he offered me the box free with free installation, he also told me that I would have lots of extra storage on the new box so to put that downstairs and have the box from that room moved, he also offered me the wireless connection box for the unit upstairs so i could get ondemand through the router. All booked for tommorow, I get a text tonight from the engineer saying he will be here betwen 12-2,30 tommorow. ok I thought. When I get home my son tells me the sky man phoned saying he is bringing my STANDARD hd box tommorow, STANDARD= the same storage capacity as I have now, so on the phone I get to sky, oh yes Mr Whelan that is the box we supply free of charge, "hold on a minute your guy told me on friday I would have much more storage capacity" Oh did he was the reply, Yes I said so I suggest you ask him to contact me ASAP as I wont accept the standard box. I hope they recorded the conversation.

Yeah you will get the big box because he said so and they can listen to the call, but that probably wont get sorted tomorrow

to be fair just had a phone call back from them, they must have done some research into it, they have offered me the big box for £49 but they are giving me multiroom for half price for 6 months so basically getting it for nothing, only problem is got to wait till a week on thursday.

Thats fair enough, buttt they did say a big free box, so id still push for that as well as 6 months half price for inconvenience
