Did you trade it?
No I sold it privately, took some time to get the price I had in mind.
Had to wade through loads of timewasters - "can I drive your gti mister" / "what's your lowest price for cash"

Thanks for the info, Im selling my R32 and wondered where best to advertise it - Autotrader?
That's a very good question - I had loads more people come through pistonheads, but the eventual buyer came via autotrader (right at the end of my 6 weeks)
£60 for 6 weeks in the trader, £9.99 for 30 days on PH - I think PH is actually better than the trader now (don't get confused with the trader's stats on no of vehicles advertised, buyers are the key thing!!!)

I'm pretty sure PH is free if you were a member before a certain date. Not sure ehat fate is as it's brrn a while since I sold a car

Biggest issue is scammers and timewasters. You need to be very patient selling a car privately these days and a little thick skinned.
