Since my first car all those years ago - a Mk1 escort, H registration, yes first time round.......

I don't think I have changed worse looking plugs in all the years of tinkering.

Took these out tonight. I have no idea how the R was still running. There is at least 2 with the electrode almost gone.



It is running a tad smoother now with a set of NGK Iridium installed.

Anyone else had similar disappointments with servicing not including plugs?

Glad I took your advice Bob on changing before the 40k service!

I had similar issues, my first R had done 98k and I swear they where original. Absolute disgrace to the SH!

Look closer, is there any sign of a manufacter date on them?

See when they look like this, I swear it's because someone's tried washing the engine bay one time

There doesn't seem to be any date marking on the plugs but I am glad to be shot of them.
