Hi guys...

sorry im not posting alot.

Ive just joined as i have just bought my 1st MK4 R32 three weeks ago.

Yes i did put the reg in google and found the thread.

Saw the car advertised on AutoTrader and went and picked it up next day.

Had a few problems since buying it, or rather set backs....

drove 350 miles to buy it, paid more money than retail from a showroom, all because its one owner.

Id like to just add, i am a car dealer and have 165 cars in stock and also have been established for 30+ years!

So it had to be special for me to purchase it, but as i said, the one owner did it for me.

The car is the following;

VW Golf R32 MK4 5DR 3.2 V6 Manual 2003
Deep Blue Pearl
Full Milltek Exhaust System inc Milltek Manifold
Sport Cat
Piper Cross Induction Kit
AMD Stage 3 Upgrade
Haldex Controller (60/40)
Porsche Cayenne Brake Conversion on the front
H & R Springs (30mm)
Neuspeed Tie Arms

All the spec i wanted, so not minded spending the money to own it.

Picked the car up and immediately i noticed the EPC light come on and the ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHT... my driver called me who was behind me and said my brake lights are not working...

Bear in mind in 350 miles away from my garage it and having no brake lights is a concern!

R32 drove great nevertheless.

Brought it home, sent it straight to the body shop and i am making it like new!

Front Bumper
front grill
front wings
front A pillars
front two doors
blow in back two doors
side skirts
rear bumper
4x alloys acid dipped, re structured and painted again in hyper silver.
Front CUPRA R lip spoiler fitted.

Had the car completely detailed head to toe and it looks literally like a show car now!

It has been at the body shop for 16 days whilst all this was being done.

I then instructed my mechanic to go through the car and order anything that is needed!

All the service items are correct and ordered... however the biggest shock came when i was told it needed brake discs and pads on the front.

I tried everywhere to buy them.... please remember it has a Porsche Cayenne brake conversion.

Finally found out the Awesome GTI will have them, £795.00 + VAT FOR DISCS ALONE!!! £954!!!!

Luckily Pete, the lad i bought it from left the original calipers in the boot, ive had them painted and fitted them to the car!

phew!

Need to buy 4 brand new tyres for it... just having a hard time choosing brand? any help from anyone?

The car is having a full day of valeting, and hopefully i may get to drive it within the next few days over 3 weeks after buying it!

i will get some pictures posted once the car is ready!

Nice little write up mate, I suggest you cut and paste it into a new thread in the indroductions section! As not many will see this in here as its a Spotted post.

Pic not working but really want to see it!

P.s. you want to speak to Cheempeej the mod on here, his mate owns a Porsche brake specialist in London and he can sort you out some good deals. I got the standard 2 piece front discs from Cheempeej for £280 instead of the £800 odd my local stealers wanted!

All good.

Easiest was it to just hit up the little green square symbol in the tool bar above when making a post.

Get a thread up in the introductions!

I would highly recommend super sport 3's for tyres.

Thanks guys

First time I actually drove the car today.

Finished the service this morning after three days on the ramp getting everything perfect.

Two things I'd like to mention, did a steering fluid flush and put new fluid with FORTE STEERING WHEEL TREATMENT...

There was nothing wrong with the steering but I just like to change all fluids... Steering is beautiful and smooth now...

Also I had the car TERRACLEAN'd by Alan Price Automobile Services in Blackburn

The car is a different animal now and believe it or not after servicing and a TerraClean and filling up with £40 shell v power the MPG on the M62 was 34mpg at 70mph!

Very happy!

Good Morning Guys,

I think I am going to buy Mitchelin Super Sport!

I have finally attached pictures! (i hope they are visible this time!)

MPG does sound a bit far fetched, but i can assure you its true... also i was not driving down hill! this picture of mpg is this morning on the m65 which doesent have any hills! and as you can see my rev counter is up too so you know it was getting a push!

There is a pic of TerraClean too!

Junior!

Looking absolutely fresh, good work!

By the looks of it, in your MPG shot, you are displaying the current MPG, not the journey average. You need to shift to the next MPG screen in the cycle. The one with the circle with a dash through it, the aforementioned symbol means trip average.
