Evening all

I am currently sat in my car with a magic sponge going over the dash, the top main part has come up very nice but the glove box and the two bits either side of the radio are shiny and sticky. I have always noticed that the glove box is sticky and thought the magic sponge would get it off, it hasn't. If I run my nail on it, it scrapes this black tar stuff off ???? is this some kind of detailer shine someone has put on?
Here's a pic of a bit that warn off, it's been like it since I have had the car. I never got round to sorting it out.

It's hard to tell in this photo but the glove box is really black and shiny compared to the dull non sticky dash

Also the plastic behind the steering wheel is sticky and this also has been like it since I bought it, looked like a burn mark at first but when inspected looks more like lacquer pill?

The key has also badly marked the other side. Would really like to clean this all up, any idea would be greatly appreciated.

Around the key I have flocked mine along with my centre console between the seats where my air ride controls are

Ah so it might be factory to have this sticky stuff on below the dash. I really don't like it.
Have you got any pics of your flocking?
I think I might get one of the key surrounds too.

Looks good bud. I might resort to doing that as well but I don't want anything else flocked in the car so it might look out of place.
Wonder if I could spray it ????

You could spray it just make sure you prep it right first, I would opt for a matt black personally as gloss would stand out

Yea there's no way I would gloss it

Everything is a nice matt/dull black now.

Need to find something that will weaken it enough to remove it without damaging the actual material. Ill keep you posted.
If anyone else has any ideas let me know please
