Hi there everyone I just bought a r32 which has done 120,000km. I was driving on the highway at around 120km/h for continuously for 10 minutes than all of a sudden I hear a beep and 3 sensors which is the ABS the ESP and Hand Brake showing in the speedometer. What could be the issue. Faulty sensor?. Please do advice as I’m a first vw golf owner.

Instinct is to check the wheel sensors. There are four, one for each wheel. The cable and connector for each is the place to start . If all looks good, then perhaps a sensor. From VW they are quite expensive, so you need to be sure before beginning to replace. Aftermarket ones are available at a much lower cost . However, above checks first . If you can contact someone with VCDS on their laptop, then that will give a good indication of the source of the fault . That might be an even better starting point . Some specialist garages will have the software, and may be willing to do a quick plug in and diagnostic check . Or, for about £45, you can buy the cable and software, install on your laptop if you have one, and do the check for yourself. Given that you have an R32, I think that spending some cash on Vagcom will be a very good long term investment

I think that is your best starting point. You could spend a small fortune on new sensors and not solve the problem . I paid £45 for my lead and software . Took a bit of time to install on my archaic laptop but works well and is sooooo useful .

I got my lead and software locally from a person who advertised on Facebook. If you look on eBay you will find lots of options available .
