'tard moment!
i bought some ali beetle sport door pins from my local stealer for £7 the pair - quite chuffed
tried fitting them in a rush - hoiked out the black placcy ones wiv some pliers (fecked em right up), screwed in the ali pins and tried the door lock/unlock button..... nothing! the just sat there :015: ar5e
turns out they are just a fraction of a mill bigger the stock, so grabed the nearest file and went to town on the bottom half of each pin
after i'd mashed them up as well and still didnt work i lost my head screwed back in the placcy ones that look like me nans dogs chewed on em - classic
lesson learnt: take ya time over even the easiest mod, and use the right tools
