quick question, just bought a mk 4 R32 in reflex silver ( ill do a proper intro once its home ) however it needs taxing. just wondering how much 6 months tax is?

Also im 29 with 5 years no claims. i got a quote through adrian flux at £1081 which i though was a bit steep. or is that about right ?who do you guys use?

cheers

not a bad price but ive seen better, im 23 with 5 years no claims, and mine is 600, i would expect yours to be a bit cheaper than over 1k, but it all depends on where you live, driving history, and other options etc

Likewise with GoCompare - currently with Sheilas Wheels who consistantly have been the best quote for last 3 years; Esure also close as SW are subsidiary of them (or vice versa).

Select a limited milage option as this will further reduce premium.

cheers guys, I have no convictions or points, a totally clean licence. I think i'll shop about looking at some of the prices you guys have got! The only reason its 5 years and not more is because i was registered on my misses car as a named driver only for years.

The majority of companies maximise their NCD at 5 years, so anything above that has very little impact and the few that offer more NCD tend to compensate with a higher base price.

That insurance is excessive maybe it's your postcode?

I am 33 with full NCB and pay 264 with Hastings

I'm in Cirencester too!

I renewed my insurance in April and it was £355, which I was chuffed with as last year it was over £500.

I have no accidents or convictions and full NCB...but my partner has two claims, which made quite a big difference unfortunately.

Tax is always a killer though!

i have 5 years no claims with admiral, however i technically have 1full years no claims, i argued with them and said ive been driving so long, and had no accidents, and i have been insured the whole time as a named driver, i was able to prove this so they honoured the no claims, ring up your previous insurers and go with admiral, worth a shot

Not sure on the MK4 tax so can't comment on that, i think i remember speaking to someone at volksfest who said their mk4 was around the 260 or something mark for the year, not sure if thats the right amount though, as for insurance i always found adrian flux to be a complete rip off to a majority of other insurance comapnies, that's going by comparison sites.
