I don't understand it when people say that a car is too fast. Are they under the impression that the throttle pedal is digital, ie, always on or always off?

True, although I guess it depends on what kind of a/market exhaust you have

I hate giving people lifts in the R, these are the normal comments I get:

"you're too young to drive a car this fast"
"why is the exhaust so loud?"
"what's wrong with these seats?"
"petrol is expensive, get a Metro diesel"
"the engine's how many litres?"

I far prefer to take long drives by myself, usually with the windows down and going through a long tunnel :vroam:

I love giving people lifts in the R. The usual comments I get are:

"Where's the rev limiter?"
"Oooh, that sounds gorgeous!"

going to a wedding a few weeks back in the arse end of cornwall we were cruising round some narrow lanes, doing no more than 25mph, but due to the high cornish hedging i was echoing a bit. stopped to ask for directions cos my sat nav couldnt even help us we were so deep into coastine and the bloke told me off for speeding round the lanes!! he wouldnt believe me when i told him i wasnt as he's 'heard' me. i love the zorst tho :biggrin:
