You can either have:

Full black leather
Half black leather/dark cloth
Half beige leather/half beige alcantara

I think this was true of all markets, so it's probably the same everywhere the R32 was sold. Although I do understand that the US spec R32's didn't have xenon's as standard.

Dude here in the States, converted his to Gray/Black.

I want to try and replicate the same idea.. only I want to keep my stock Black Leatherette/Gray Cloth Seats.

you are correct.. USDM didnt come with Xenon/HID Headlights.

In the UK we got 3 options,

Standard (black fabric, plastic bolsters, black carpet + doors)

Full black leather (£2220) (full black leather seats, black carpet, black doors)

Or Grey Alcantara (£1200) (which is what you see in your pics).
Grey Alcantara was Grey Alcantara seat middles, Grey leather bolsters, Grey carpets, Grey R-mats, Grey lower dash, Grey centre console (Where the handbrake is), Grey doorcards, Grey parcel shelf.
It actually looked great when it was brand new, but like any light coloured interior, it looks really naff cause it ages so quickly.
The seats (alcantara) bits also bubble up (a bit like a wooly jumper does), and looks quite naff.
Shame really, as I'd have the Alcantara option anyday!
ahhh okay cool always cool to learn more about the r :)
forgot to say
grey handbrake,
grey seatbelts,

It does look really pimpin, I do like it a lot!

But all the mk4's I've seen with this interior look proper shagged now.
I've got the grey leather/alcantara seats and you're right it does make the interior look old. The alcantara is starting to bobble and the lighter leather shows up the creases more. I would rather have full black leather as I have a black car, but the grey is quite cool.
when you say looks old.. are you talking about the seats? or the other pieces?
The seats get dirty easily, the carpets get mucky, cause they are so light. Washing them partially revives them, but just like 'white' trainers/sports shoes, they'll never look brand new for long..
but as far as the doorcards, and dash pieces... they stay in fairly good shape/color?
Well, the leather is lighter so any knicks or marks will show up more. The colour doesn't fade on the leather but the alcantara starts to bobble on the seats.
anyone know where i can BUY the two-piece interior [not the seats]..

but like the dash pieces, center console, door cards, and rear pieces. everything but the seats.
