Hi just put a set of Vredestien Ultrac Sessantas on mine.
I havent really had chance to scrub them off yet so cant really give an honest opinion as to their handling wear rates etc.
I went for the Vreds in the end to find out if they were as good as the reviews say because if they are then they would seem to be a bargain.
There are others on here with them on so search for other posts............
Rich, let me say now you're in for a treat
You sound like I did about 18months ago, unsure of what tyre to go for so I went for Vreds on my GT4 back in early 08, i then sold the car in November 09.
I ended up doing 15,000miles. including 2 trackdays and 10 laps of the nurburgring and when I sold the car the vreds still had 4mm all round. they are epic. better than GSD3's and I would say on par with asymettrics, possibly the smallest amount less grip in the wet, but its neglidgable.
These tyres are nothing short of amazing. At first I was scheptical because they are cheaper than a lot of other tyres, but you wait, once you wear them in they are excellent. Wait till summer comes round, they are truly amazing in the dry, and also brilliant in the wet.
You made the right decision. As my post above says, I had a hairy moment with my budgets last night, so I've now ordered the other 2 vreds and waiting delivery from camskill tomorrow morning. Can't wait to get the last 2 fitted on the rear and start to enjoy my R like it should be. Gonna try and wear the tyres in a bit at the weekend.
I had no hesitation in buying these tyres for a second time and I bet they will be just as good this time round
.........As for yokohama parada spec 2's mentioned above, obvioulsy its each to their own opinion, but I have found them awful. In the wet truly shocking, but ok in the dry. they are what I changed for the vredesteins on my GT4 and I felt like I could run rings around myself!
