Evening all slight problem that I am using oil

1L over the last 1000 miles and after doing a compression test today all seems ok there, so am guessing it will be valve guide seals

Anyone got any other ideas as it don't smoke on start even with a De cat and the 1000 miles was in one hit down to where I am in Germany

I wish it was Doug, would me more than happy lol defo burning it

Check the spark plugs. Burning 1L per 1000 I'd expect 1 or 2 plugs to be a bit oily, or have white crusty deposits. Which ever plug shows this will be your problem cylinder/s.

checked the plugs and no real problems visible, compression test done and that shows clear too

funny thing is i have done about 800KM since and does not seem to have used any more
