Can't say there are many Vauxhall's that have impressed me over the years, but I doff my hat to them for producing the VRX8.

Producing a 6.2 litre engine for the UK market from a mainstream/high volume manufacturer is something I couldn't see any other company do in these ever increasing efficiency/environmentally (and boring!) times.

The backend of the tourer though is horrible!

Having a V8 doesnt stop it being horrid, at least it will be out of view faster. Not that many will get sold.

True - typical price of the 2009 saloons for sale on Autotrader are less than £19k.

Think I'd go with a Lotus Carlton if I was ever forced to own a Vauxhall.

I like the VXR8 saloon, and would consider getting one if I could afford it.
I like the idea of a VXR8 tourer, but unfortunately they just haven't managed to pull off the rear styling very well.
