Hi, an r32 has always been kind of a dream car for me (oww the sound of that engine!!) and since my financial circumstances have changed, i am now able to purchase one. However have been searing around for about 3-4months now for the right car to come up but still nothing. Therefore, im putting out a wanted add to see if i get any replies. This is going to be a car i buy in order to keep for many years so i really want the top spec available:

-MKV R32 3 Door in either DBP, Tornado red, or grey
-low milage 45k<
-service history
-2 keys
-Full leather wingback recaros
-sat nav
-Manual (it must be manual)
-highline
-winter pack
-lux pack
etc...
-preferably with a few mods but this is not essential as i will just do it myself over the duration of ownership.

I understand this is a very picky spec that im after but if i have waited this long to find the right one so im sure one will come along at some point. i have the cash ready and willing to travel for the right car. im located in yorkshire, just 20 miles from york.

If nothing turns up, i suppose i will just have to wait longer but any help will be appreciated.

Hi, I know its not completely to your spec and its in black but most mods have been done that most would do saving you £1000's. Look at the black Supersprint ad just above this one ??

For some reason I cant seem to get insured on a DSG gearbox! i'm from a DN14 postcode (which is in the lowest theft risk band) and iv had quotes to insure a manual for around £650 fully comp. For me to insure the DSG, its upwards of £2000 which i'm just not prepared to pay at all! does anybody know the reason for this? the cars that have been mentioned are all exactly what I would purchase but the insurance is just killing it for me with them being the DSG. As for ''SCOOBYDOOBYDOO'' thanks for your reply. Your right that the car is everything im after but the colour just isn't to my preference. I understand that this is a very picky spec im after but coming from enthusiast owners, I am sure you can understand that when considering these type cars, the right one is willing to wait for. cheers

If you know what you want and are prepared to wait then wait- you are just right. Lots of guys on here have had specific specs they wanted and usually get it in the end just gota keep looking and be patient. Good luck.

Yea agree with Benji, I waited over a year to find my spec, but it was a bit more specific than yours, so you shouldn't have that much trouble. It was definitely worth the wait.

I have no clue why the DSG is more expensive to insure, that's the first I've heard.

To be honest, i have been trying to find out more info on this since the insurance came back with that price and I still I haven't found anything worth while as an explanation. They must be stolen more or have a higher crash percentage or something daft like that. Even a supervisor at Aviva and admiral (after i asked to speak to them) said they are unsure but there's nothing they can do in order to change to grouping or price. I suppose it's just one of them unfortunate situations really. But would any of you guys say Im really missing out by going for a manual rather than DSG?
