Sold my R32 about two weeks ago, a DPB manual on 51k and having spent 2 weeks scouring classifieds I got pretty close to buying an audi S3
but decided I just couldn't live with that fugly rear end.

Test drove a 335i manual, although very nice and quick it just didn't feel special - plus there's so many E9X BMs on the road i'd just blend into the scenery.

So fingers crossed i'm picking up this 2006 grey R, 48k miles DSG with FVWSH. If all goes well and I come home with it i've got a few plans, milltek non-res, wheels in gunmetal grey or black (or maybe BBS), rear window tints and a few other minor things.

Can't wait, only wish I hadn't sold my old one!

Yup all in all its cost me about £500 to change to a better spec (highline and speaker upgrade) slightly less miles and DSG so not bad overall - plus it was registered on 06 ten days before the tax band went up :-D

I see so many people selling up only to buy another one a few weeks/months down the line

I keep thinking whether to sell up and get something a little newer, maybe a DSG R or S3 but I keep thinking they're not much different to what I have now so is there any point? Mine has done 120k now so I'm thinking it could be a good idea to sell now before the mileage gets much higher.

Good luck with the purchase.

Thats comical.....hope it wasnt too costly....

Did think a DSG R is the obvious replacement but looking at £25k for something thats not much different. Probably slightly more capable but no V6.
