Watched it when it was on a couple of weeks ago, it was really good.

There was a program on BBC2 last night on Donald Campbell. Try and catch it on iPlayer, really good.

I read that as a whole lot more disturbing haha.

I enjoyed it, but had already seen a programme pointing towards a ventilation issue.

Will look for the Donald doc now!

This documentary looks better, just insane how quickly he shakes off the mph. Haunting hearing him commentate his own death.

You're welcome.

There is also a program on BBC4 on Formula 1 through the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s. For some reason it's not available on iPlayer but it's repeated a few times over the week. It only lasts 30 mins and it's in a Rock & Roll Years style.

It's called "Motor Racing at the BBC - that petrol emotion"

I'll keep an eye out, perhaps my Tivo will have picked it up...

That documentary about Donald was tragic.

Good work, thanks, would really like to know more about the earlier years! Hoping my Tivo has done me proud.

Would have loved to have seen an airship dock at the mast on top of the Empire State Building, as originally intended

I have soft spot for Skyscrapers, the coming together of these two behemoths would have been amazing imagery.

Wasn't it just a gag for furthering the height of the ESB?

I don't think so as I can remember it being mentioned when I visited.

I used to be a bit of a Skyscraper geek, cant remember now which building had its mast hidden and taken up the lift shafts in order to secretly increase the height...
