In my car there's been a Parrot handsfree kit previously installed in the car, and due to the weather being extremely warm, the unit that is usually stuck to the trim above the cupholder, (it's a knob of some sort) it keeps falling off.. Now, i don't want it anyway, so have removed the trim and hidden it away (i haven't cut it incase it's wired into the car's electrics) but it's left this stubborn adhesive behind that just won't shift.. I did buy some sticky stuff remover today that claims to remove tar, chewing gum etc but not shifted it at all.. I daren't use white spirit incase it takes the colour off the trim..

Any ideas??

Hmmm, don't want any discoloration, that'll make a mess.. I didn't think it would be so hard to remove but it won't budge..
I have used t cut on plastic and glass to get difficult to remove bugs,

But seriously if you go round your mums borrow some hair spray, it removes oil, marker, sticker residue no problem.

Well i'm happy to give it a go if it works, but AFAIK hairspray was very 8o's, she doesn't use it anymore.. Lol. Is there nothing to be found in the garage that'll do it without making me look like i'm an 8o's throwback??? Ha.

I might try a combination of getting the hairdryer on it followed by something solvent based.. I wonder if nail varnish remover will do it??
