Guys I'm torn between a day out driving around the evo triangle and surrounding areas and buttertubs pass and surrounding roads.... which is the better of the two places for some spirited driving shall we say?! Also is there enough at either to warrent an over night stop?

Cheers in advance

Im not familiar with these routes but I take it one each way isn't an option?
Probably too far apart to try do both in one day for me personally but def doable....

I was all set for evo triangle but every review I read said good roads but there's better.... Hence buttertubs..... it's got a mention on top gear as one of if not the best UK roads

I was kinda hoping someone had done both and could say which was better and better still give me some coordinates
I've a rough idea of both but there are hidden gems around and was hoping for other roads to try also

I've been to Buttertubs and the mk5 didn't like it much. Too tight for such a lard arse car and the front bumper touched down on more than one occasion. May be better if you have any suspension mods, though?

Interesting..... cars stock so not sure if that's good or bad? Guess I'll be rolling about everywhere either way

Is it worth a pass though? Might not stop, just fly through as it were....

Nice vid BTW.... might be worth it just for the photo opportunity if nothing else

It is a lovely part of the world, but the R32 didn't seem awfully well suited to the terrain. A mate was filming us from the side of the road and you can see his head spin when I go around the bend and my front bumper scraped on the floor! (about 0:46 in the vid)

The nearest town is called Hawes and is a good place for eats if you go up there.
