I take all reviews with a pinch of salt. Only one that matters to me is my opinion:)

I use WhatCar used car reviews. If you look for bad news you will find it. Never go by a forum as they are biased. Chris Harris/Pistonheads are ok, Top Gear and Fifth Gear focus on comical values rather than facts the majority of the time.

As the others have said your own opinion is the one that counts but if I had to pick somewhere to look up a review I would go to the Evo Website reviews. They also sometimes do long term reviews which is handy, I found this out because there is one for the mk4 & mk5 R32.

I went on to a couple of reviewing websites about a E90 320D saloon. They said the engine was noisy and lots of wind noise.

Ended up buying one and there isnt a whistle inside the cabin! Also the engine is silent!

I tend to read as many reviews as I can find and check out owner reviews to gather as much info as possible but I tend to focus on factual details such as specs, trim levels, performance etc and common faults then test drive the car and make tge decision based on my own feelings.

Can't say I've ever used a review. My first car I test drove, then my second car I test drove, then I was a passenger in the R32 so bought one. Sorry bit boring really
