Hello, new to the forum...in the process of selling my silver mkiv and just wondering if anybody knows of where i can find/buy a grommet (UK) thats located on the underside of a MKIV. Had a look around and cant find anything that will tell me the size of the grommet i am looking for.

What is the grommet to plug? What part of the car is it required for? You need it for glass? metal? plastic?

cheers for the reply, its on the underside and its maybe about 10 inches in from behind the front drivers side wheel on the underside, the hole is maybe 1.5 inches diameter, no idea what its for to be honest. Just noticed drivers footwell and the one behind me was wet since the heavy drop down in snow, presuming its coming in through this hole.

Hmmm, im pretty sure mine has one there too. Ill have a look and report back.

Is it a 5 door? have yo checked door seals etc? I cant see a hole in the front making the rear footwell damp/wet too. Stranger things have happened though

yeah thats what i thought, cant find any information on this grommet though and im no mechanic by any stretch of the imagination.
could of possibly been the seals as i pushed them down recently, wouldnt imagine its anything too major, got put through its mot only last week...hopeful thinking!

could this be the jacking point? my front jacking points dont have rubber round them but the rears do?
