Worst pain ever?

I woke up with cramp in my calf this morning and most of you will know just how excruciatingly painful that is.
I had to bite my pillow to stop myself from shouting obscenities.
Ive broken my wrist and that pain doesnt even come close to th epain of this cramp.

Its led me to believe that its quite possibly the worst pain ever.
Although some people say that award goes to kidney stones but i havent experienced that.

What dyou think is the worst pain ever?

Well I work as a paramedic and apparently kidney stones is more painful than giving birth. I would put both of those at the top of the "Ow" list.
i have a hugely impressive collection of injuries, including the words: smashed, removed, poisoned and split :D

most painful? breaking my back in 2 places snowboarding, then having to get off the mountain by myself.... like you wouldnt believe the levels of pain in that one and that was worse than the time i lost a kidney or smashed my.................

... fyi... i'm now married to nurse, very handy :D
well the worst pain i have ever had is stomach cramp...i was ill with somthin that was making me sick...alot...and after a while my stomach started cramping.....i tell ya i was just rolling about on my bed in agony, but the more you move about the worse it gets, nearly in tears!

but i dont think that really compares to breakin your back in 2 places then havin to make ur own way down the hill ! p.s you wuld have thort they mite get the chopper out if sum1 broke their back?!
when i get cramp in my leg.. i have to get up out of bed and stand on it... usually does the job
I've managed not break anything so far, but wisdom teeth coming through hurts and first second of my first tattoo did. Im on my 9th now so its like second nature :)

pride wouldnt let me :D i launched off a huge kicker and got firmly upside down but couldnt get back round in time to land it and came straight down on ice.. in front of a load of people. HAD to walk away :D

plus have you seen the orange sleeping bags of shame they slide you off the mountain in? hell nooooooooo. i wear armadillo armour now
yeh with one skiing behind and one in front! haha...but u know when sum1 has a serious injury cos the helicopter comes, and u see helipcopers buzzin about ALOT. also have u noticed when u get ur flight home, in the airport there r loads of ppl on crutches and in wheelchairs.

being a skiier myself, i naturally feel that 99.9% of all accidents are caused by snowboarders! haha
is this where we start the pricks on sticks vs the gays on trays arguements? lol

you'll never see a snowboarder in a flourecent all in one out fit :D
haha, true! u do see some truly awful clothes tho (and ur right especially on ppl that ski) especially old people aswell...or germans! u must av seen some ppl in this purple all in one with a floral pattern, with an elastic waist HAHA...i mean where can u actually buy that crap from!
Kidney stones get my vote (personal experience!), but obviously cant comment on giving birth....

Excruciating doesn't really cover it!

I had two of my wisdom teeth out a few months ago under local anaesthetic. I had heard horror stories about wisdom teeth extractions but wondered what all the fuss was about. Until the anaesthetic wore off that was....God did it hurt :argh:
Hmm i gotta say Man flu is pretty nasty lol
The worst pain I recall would be waking up on a Saturday morning in bed and I couldnt move a muscle without an excruciating pain in my side. I fell back to sleep because the pain when I moved to get out of bed was so immense.

I think this occurred because the previous night I went into town with some friends from work and when we left one pub imparticular we took the stairs from the first floor back down to the ground floor. I went to jokingly push a colleague down the stairs but in my drunken state I fell down the stairs myself, I leaped a complete flight of stairs in this small pub and landed on my side (kidney area) hitting the handrail.
I was rather drunk and the pain soon dissipated and we continued the night drinking our pain away. Next morning the agony began!

I eventually woke up again on that Saturday after the friday night before still in extreme agony but there wasnt much I could do. My phone was on the table to the side of my bed but my side hurt so much that I couldnt even reach the phone to call anyone for help. I decided that I was just being stupid and everything will be fine so I didnt want to call anyone to hassle them over nothing.

I eventually made it out of bed by rolling over as this was the only way to cause the least pain to my side. I had to crawl very very slowly around because I couldnt stand up because the pain was so immense. I tried to go about my usual saturday chores but failed miserably.
I tried to stand up, the pain was awful. I decided I HAVE to stand up regardless of the pain once I am standing up I will be fine. Eventually managed to stand up, went to get a glass from the bottom of the dishwasher to get myself a drink and couldnt bend down far at all, slowly bent my knees to get lower to the glass I had my eye on but oddly even this extremely hurt my side.

Eventually got the glass, still couldnt believe how much pain I was in. I was thinking how silly I must look if someone else had been there because I normally look like a perfectly able bodied person but this pain has reduced me to an invalid. I briefly dwelled upon the idea that I may be stuck like this and began to wonder how people manage who have this kind of problem 24/7. They must take pain killers all the time.

Anyway enough of the minute by minute description but suffice to say the pain got a little better enough so that I could go to work.

I would still be going about my daily business then all of a sudden I would get a quick sharp excruciating pain in my side but over time it healed.

I think it may have been a muscle tear or something similar from that staircase fall which did it.

....*SNIP
I thought you were going to end that with...."and then I farted and the pain instantly disappeared - god trapped wind can be painful!" :D
LOL if only thats all it had been VG!
i think the sound of *snip would have scared anyone rolling out of bed :D
Hhhmm I'm like the white version of Samuel L Jackson in that film Unbreakable !

Having had dairy allergies for the first 7 years of my life as a kid, i've ended up with a pretty bad calcium deficciency (? spelling). Net result = brittle bones.

Broken:
Both collar bones (1 twice)
About 6 fingers
Both thumbs (1 twice)
4/5 toes
Back (only in 1 place VC - the big vertibrae at the bottom, above the croxix)
1 arm
1 wrist

Touch wood, no legs (yet)

And the worst... 3 ribs (all at once) - can't move, cough, laugh, sneeze, breath! :shot:
