GTAV is on the 360 so little point in changing at the moment, dead rising 3 is only on the one so I may change for that. Not really interest in the PS4 they don't have any titles worth swapping over for. I was looking at watchdogs but I will get it for PC I think.

Microsoft havent quite confirmed about the 2nd hand games bit though it looks like they are going to charge a fee. So if you buy a 2nd hand game, there will be a fee on top to play on your own console.

Also you'll need internet connectivity to be able to play the console in the first place :/

"Microsoft will let games publishers decide if you can do that or not, and it'll let them charge you for the privilege. Nor is there a requirement to connect to the Internet every 24 hours like Microsoft's machine."

This will no doubt lead back to getting your machine chipped.

They dont like piracy but this time.... they're bringing it upon themselves.

Still be interested to know exactly how much RAM they're giving you GPU wise. At a guess its going to be a 2GB card which IMO is a bit pants considering I've been running 2x3GB cards for the last 18mths and these consoles will supposedly last you for the next 7-10 years.

Erm.. Gran Turismo?

If it wasn't for exclusive games... I'd not be needing a new console. My xbox 360 has prob only had 5 game max in the last 3 years. If its out for the PC, there's no need for the console counterpart.

Xbox one is having 8 gb ram and you can share games over the Internet with friends. They don't need the game is how I read it from E3
The PS4 also has 8GB ram and but has the advantage as its DDR5 as opposed to the Xbox's DDR3

I don't really loan games so this doesn't bother me. I am a current 360 user and I loan all my games from LoveFilm, I don't bother buying. Will be interested to see if the Xbox one will still accommodate this service.

I just don't get why Microsoft would say ok let's bleed our loyal customers of more money? I'm no Alan sugar but it don't make sense to me if its true? I'll prob do what I always wait a year and see what everyone's getting and why. I'm a Xbox man so I missed out on metal gear solid 4 but if the ps4 is better value for money and its getting metal gear 5 then I think I'll go back to Sony

I was reading that they were getting annoyed with retailers like Game & CEX making huge profits on pre-owned games & not seeing anything of the resale value.
They're going to get even more annoyed at an increased level of piracy? Then again, saying that its not much different to PC games in a sense that they come with an activation key that activates to one console. Microsoft are doing the same in that regard, though the fee for 2nd hand games is not really on as licenses should be transferable for free once it has been paid for.

If anything the retailers, or individuals on ebay will end up getting less per 2nd hand game to be able to put the "fee" on top and still make it cheaper than buying new. If you kill the 2nd hand market... Well.... your shooting yourself in the foot.

Sony messed up with the last console (PS3) due to inferior hardware, and a change of architect at the last minute causing developers to be stuck creating new games using the full power of the PS3 (From what they was promised)

Now Microsoft have messed up.

I own both a ps3 and Xbox 360 and I'm gonna get both the new consoles, Xbox first the ps4 later.... but if I could only have one it would be the xbox as the interface and online support is far superior

In terms of the second hand games issues, it's not confirmed and is unlikely to be enforcible

What is gay though about both machines is that they are not backwards compatible so my massive collection of games will be redundant unless I keep all 4 consoles!

Also id have sold my ps3 months ago if it wasn't for "the last of us" which is out this Friday....

Erm. Its very easy to enforce actually.

That's because they are written on brand new architectures which are not compatible with the previous gen consoles.
