Hi guys,

I have to change cam chain due to the classic rattling that apperas after 100,000 km on our poor babies..

My friend came over a list of parts another guy changed on his car resulting in that the rattling stopped, when i sent the list of partnumbers to my local VW dealer for price there was one partnumber that didn't exist in their computer..

I'll put all the partnumbers below starting with the partnumber that they didn't find.

I would be very glad if anyone could help me with what part it is "behind" that partnumber, and also if there is anyone else here that could tell me if there is anything else i need to order?

Ooh, very nice to come in contact with you then!
Do you have a manual? Mine is DSG, might be because of that they didn't find it on my licenseplatenumber?

Is this everything i need? Or did you have to get anything mean while you did the work?

I have also DSG.. thats all parts + its good replace that two O rings on VVT valves (on side of chain cover) + new seal to valve cover.
And I recommend to change thermostat if you are in there (mine was bad and I find it a month after chain replacement)
After all good I have around 20k miles now and engine run smooth and quiote.

Sounds good! Do you remember or have the partsnumbers for the O-rings, seal and thermostat?

Many thanks for the information!
