Hi all - created a new thread with the URL in the title.

Due to (somewhat) popular demand in a few other threads I saw pop up over the past few months requesting some sort of Register to keep track of R32's (mainly Mk4 from what I could see - more on this later..), and combined with the inner groaning when I saw various suggestions like excel spreadsheets, I've put together a very basic ASP.NET Web Application tied into a real database to keep track of the R32s.

At the moment it requires email authentication - I put this in place to try and stop people from being able to just access the site and start spamming random cars in, which would ruin the whole point of the register!

So far I've had reports of people having difficulty creating an account / logging in on Macs (Sorry Miq!), which I've hopefully just fixed today.

At the moment the account activation emails are being sent to peoples spam/junk folders, this is until I sort something out (http://stackoverflow...atically-marked).

If you do try and sign-up, please let me know here any issues that you have (bugs in the site, emails not being sent, etc) - can you please make sure you include any useful information:
- Device (ie. phone, tablet, laptop)
- Browser (ie. chrome, safari, internet explorer 11, etc)
- Email provider (ie. hotmail, gmail, yahoo, etc)

If enough people start using it then I might spruce it up a bit, maybe even add a picture or two, and also put in some statistics for the MK5 guys (the site currently lets you add Mk5 R32's to "your garage", but there are no statistics or graphs in place for MK5 yet).

Cool, that's good news. Just now rolled out a new update - including some stats on the Mk5 on the homepage, and given it it's own statpage too with the graph.

And updated the styling a little bit.

That was what people were saying, yeah....I think it's to make sure they don't get counted twice? So say someone registers the car with private plate, removes plate, sells it, then new owner registers with original plate *boom* it's counted twice.

If people keep signing up I might have to actually do something about the awful lack of styling / pictures

Oh - the email should contain a link to click. If you PM me your email address I can manually activate your account!

I'll aim to get that stuff added by end of week - just need to convince people who break a lot of R32's to add them when they do :)

Good idea.

I've added my mk5, hopefully more people will find the site and add there car.

I have just had a look on the how many left website and it looks like there were 2675 MK5s registered in the UK, I'm not sure if you want to add this like you have for the MK4.

https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/volkswagen_golf_r32_s-a#!newreg

Edit: Mmm that might be just DSG cars?

^^ Yeah, I wasn't sure how correct this data was when I looked some time ago. It also has one registered in 2012....?

Also - I have no idea how many of each colour were made, so I wouldn't be able to include that

It is possible that one could have been registered in 2012 I suppose. I guess somebody on here would have heard about it though so maybe duff data or somebody registered an R under the wrong thing?

Bump for anyone who hasn't registered. Anyone know who I'd get in contact with to get this stickied? Or is it secretly offending admins?
