More boost lower down? Dont you find that there's only hard boost from 4k to redline? Apparently smaller pulley gives boost earlier on in rev range...? Dazm can you elaborate...

LOL Rich I've seriously looked into this & its really hard to justify the mega ££££'s against the actual gains & as its unknown territory for the MK5 & I'd hate for my car to become unreliable......

LOL if only Rich, what have you heard then mate?!! I'd like a MK4 FI but having 2 FI'd R's would be hard to justify, you could run a Lambo as a daily drive more cheaply!!

yep and no one in the uk with an R32 has hit 650hp yet ;)

the best way to get an accurate figure on your cars is plug vagcom in find the maximum grams per second readout from the MAF when you have it in logging mode give it a proper boot and post up your figures here along with the size of the MAF/part number and turbo cold side and hot side ratings..what spec charger it is ...what injectors and what fuel pressure reg pressure etc. With as much info as pos. should then be able to work out a more accurate HP figure as the car will be away from a rolling road and in free air and using its wheels in contact with the road surface. Repeat the logging 3-4 times of you pulling away from 1500rpm each time to the limiter say 3rd gear....don't worry i won't tell anyone we all know 3rd gear is 70mph ;)

Well now here's a thread to make us mere mortals jealous!

Doesn't SirHenri have a (in fact, two) monster FI R32s? In one of which he annihilates that Z4 in that youtube vid?

Cant wait tbh mate, there's not enough boost low down for my liking. She's booked in at Storm in Jan. Cant imagine what its gonna feel like with all that booooooooooost :)

You should try going back to no boost for a while then!

EDIT: Sorry, didn't read the whole thread!

Supercharger: Rotrex C30-94 running @ 1.4bar (I think, no boost gauge to confirm)
Injectors: Bosch 280-156-012
FPR: 4.0bar
MAF: standard (vw part noV07C 906 461 X

Vagcom log from a few weeks ago:

Engine Mass air Throttle valve angle %
RPM taken in g/s
1680 35.31 13.7
1960 68.39 100
2360 91 100
2840 114.81 100
3320 142.5 100
3840 168.28 100
4400 210.47 100
5000 259.56 100
5600 299.42 100
6200 294.86 100
6800 294.86 100

Done on a slight incline in 3rd gear. I have more vagcom data if needed.

With the above figures the power was calculated to be 360bhp. On the rolling road it got 473 at the flywheel (prefer this to the calculated figure:)), the chart is in the AmD rr day thread.

Dave Dave Dave.....

This is the honest truth: The above table is EXACTLY what I wanted to do. However, knowing that I can be a bit 'OCD' I purposefully chose not to spend any more time on this.... and I GENUINLY woke up really early this morning, worrying that I'd not finished the table as I should :motz:

I'm :stupid:

Anyway, I can sleep tonight knowing that its now done.

I hate myself :marchmellow:

(PS: Takeout the '....' and make a proper table with straight lines please ;))

Toffs, you and me are from the same mould chap. I can't stand tiny little things being out of place. I couldn't for example not add a space after the .... if all the rest had one lol. Would bug me till I'd changed it! Think we prob have a very mild form of OCD lol.
