I believe the Haldex and Dsg intervals are still the same as the R32, and Cam belt and water pump every 5 years but mine I will do every 3 years.
I have been told that some of the earlier mk6 r suffered from Haldex pcv issues, but this is probably just forum talk!! Not fact.
However 20k for a 10 plate is strong unless it's fully loaded , I picked up my 62 plate from main dealer with 2 years warranty for less.

Only difference that I'm aware of was the revision of certain engine bits like the pcv and diverter valves. I don't think there was a face lift on the mk 6. Apart from that they seem to fairly bullet proof.
Oh I would recommend DCC if your running 19inch wheels.

That is strong money for a almost 6 year old car. I looked at one 3 years ago at main dealer and with 40,000 miles on with nav, 19's, buckets that was only £22,000

I didn't even know the Mark 6 R had buckets as an option.

The thing is they have offered me £13k for my R32, so will only cost me 6/7k to upgrade, it was registered Dec 2010, so it's almost a 2011.

So tempted! I just love the tearing sound of the V6!

DCC - Dynamic Chassis Control
You can adjust the suspension between comfort, normal and sport. It also changes the weight of the steering in each mode.

By the way a Dec 2010 car will be Model Year 2011.

Recaro buckets were are option on the Mk6 but quite rare as they were seriously expensive. When VW set the pricing of the Mk6 they were smoking something:-)

Oh, so DCC is built in? It's just a setting?

Why did they not make the callipers a nice colour like the blue R32's?

Yes, there is a button in front of the gearstick to change between modes. It was a cost option on the MK6R. It's not listed so might not have it. Dynaudio is a worthwhile option too, which is listed.

If you've never had it you won't miss it.

Once you've had it, you won't be without it:-)

It came as standard on my Rocco and thought it was a gimmick but it is actually very good and now wouldn't spec a car without it, if available.

What does it actually do? How can one button be so good lol

As I said, it has 3 setting comfort, normal and sport. There is a electronically controlled valve in each damper which adjusts the firmness so in comfort it's soft and in normal it's harder and sport it's harder again. The weight of the steering is also different in each mode. Sport being heavier than normal and normal heavier than comfort.

It's a cheaper version of Audi's Magnetic Ride but uses valves instead of magnetic particles in the dampers.

The Ride on 19" Wheels is quite hard so DCC is a good option to have As for the Car your looking at well overpriced but sounds like they are offering you Retail money for your R32 so price to change doesn't look so bad

Imo Should be advertised at no more than £19K and I'd expect to be able to get a good Part Ex or Cash Discount on that there's a guy on the R forum been struggling to sell a 12 Plate Car for the last 3 Months if you could sell yours privately or get a good trade cash offer might be worth a look:

I didn't even realise the R's had cam belts, I just presumed it was a tough cam chain like the R32, but it's just been changed, so hoping it won't be a problem.

No idea but I'm guessing the full car will be a lot more "tired" than others available having been put through the amount of modification that one has.

Even if the garage restored it back to full original manufactures condition?. I am unsure I want it now.

The R32 I got was so well looked after, even VW themselves said it was one of the best examples they'd ever seen.

I wanted to have the same with my R, and I thought I was getting this till I was made aware of these Hurdy forum posts.
