Grand total???? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

just over £1000 for 5000miles, about 24 mpg which i dont think is bad.

worked out full cost today:

loan payments £2400

tax £500

service £100

Bulbs £70

wipers £20

insurance £300

Fuel £1000

so about £4400

not including the detailing products ive bought  :P

but still fair value for a car that gives so much fun and soul back!

and im under no illusions that i got away lightly for the year! guna need 4 new tyres soon and a full service

I don't keep the receipts, I need to start tracking it somehow though. I average ~£50 a week, 25 mpg average (off the MFD). I'll have a look at this 'Road Trip' app.

That's even sadder than those people who used to keep every expired tax disc.

Only good reason i can think of keeping them is to put them in for claiming back the vat....

2016-7 🙈 d71d33b09c458ff57d0fead468202366.jpg S

Similar gig to last year, £907 for c4700 miles, again 25mpg

Costs were abit more this year tho as had to have the haldex and dsg done and 4 new boots. And the wheels refurbed.

Loan repayments £2400

Tax £500

Service £400

Tyres and wheels £600

Insurance £350

Fuel £907

So about £5250 this year.

Still cheap at twice the price 😂

I brought a MK2 16v years ago off a relative and he had every fuel receipt for the 14 years he had it.  He reckoned it was to claim the VAT as he used it for work

I kept the fuel data in an app, had it going back over the last 4 cars. Haven't done it for the r32 as I changed phones and need to find a new app. Was a good way to see if there was a problem. As you could see a change in the data. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk

Would say weird keeping for a year, Maybe for a few months. I never ask for one at the station because I don't want to know how much I'm spending to be honest. shok.gif

You could always use the shell app, then your fuel receipts are stored online
