ok people so first of all i have to go back in time. August 2015.

MK5 Golf R32 DSG - "United Grey" 54K miles - paid top cash from a UK car dealer. but loved it.

attached are pretty much the oldest photos I could find. new number plate is on. still has the wheels I bought it with fox MS007 19inch wheels. which had to go! (kept rubbing on front driver arch) and sitting on H&R springs 30mm I think

next I went for the front end.

I know how everyone feels about carbon fibre wraps, carbon fibre dips, carbon fibre skins.

But....

I love the look of the 3M carbon fibre matt wrap. I see it on a blue mk5 from Bahrain and just loved the look. did NOT want glossy look.

ps. got a sunstrip but took it off not long after because of light/rain sensor was doing my nut in! :nea:

the BLQ's did not stay on long at all. hated the fitment. to agressive on the rear with stretched tyres aswell. not the greatest for my driving style

so sold those and bought some 18inch TMB's and a Rottweiler pup :D

A/R sizes on a 3582 are too small to run higher boost consistently on our displacement.
Consider 3786 or EFR 8000 series.

Liking the build Dazza - how you finding the coilovers?

Is that you running RS4 seats in both of those vehicles or did you swap them from one to another?

love the coilovers a lot thanks bud. good all rounders, price, adjustable, performance

the RS4 seats came out of the T5, he had 4 in there, retrimmed.

I bought 2 and put them into my R32, and my R32 seats into the Caddy

Compressor island efficiency at 17psi is good for approx 45lb/ft exhaust flow.
More boost is going to run off the map as exhaust flow increases.
A suitably sized turbo for higher boost will keep egt's down.
26psi boost on a 3.2 is going to put exhaust flow in the 80s lb/ft so a compressor of suitable size would be good.

Compressor map is shown in Ab scale (absolute)

OK just to wave my willy in the air.

The compressor map you have showed is for a GT3582 when the OP has a GTX3582 which has this compressor map

GTX3582Rcomp_zpszzbukdrw.jpg

You can get a T4 1.06 exhaust housing which fits both the GT and GTX 35 turbo which is plenty big enough. 26 psi peak and 24 psi constant can be used on a GT35 with water/meth no problem as i and lots of other have done and the GTX  takes even more boost. No number was stated what was considered "high boost" and 24 psi constant is usually considered more then enough if you want to keep the car everyday reliable, there is a lot of difference between a turbo peak psi and constant psi . Last dyno/mapping run for my car boost was 26 psi and made 715 bhp on the GTX4088R and that`s with the smaller 1.06 exhaust housing and a leaking waste gate the dam thing. Unless your going for some balls out power machine you should need to be boosting over 26 psi. The turbo`s you recommended like the old FP HTA 3786 is a laggy peak bhp POS thats only any good on high revving high boost V-tech and other such engines as it`s got sod all power low down. ERF 8000 series i take it you mean the ERF 8374 only has a max flow of 79 lb so isn`t 80 lb or more turbo plus ERF turbo`s don`t like high boost as the blades and shafts break up which is why BW bought out the ERF 9174 for people who needed to run high boost. http://www.full-race...4-turbo-1.html/

Too small.
If you run with the GTX35, longevity will be in question.
HTA 3786 as a minimum or EFR 8374 as an optimum will deal well with a 3.2 displacement.
Engine bay space plays a part in correct selection as the firewall is close.
Streetability is everything.
40 turbos will leave you waiting.
WMI are supplements or fixers that are more worries, keep it simple and select the best turbo for your application.
Owen Developements can give you some good advice.

Ps don't forget your tranny and clutch upgrades as you need to pay to play and can be a major factor as to whether you go above 500lb/ft or not.

thanks for the infor guys, much apreciated.

as far as the clutch goes we were going to go for the SSC stage 3 sidewinder but after talking to them, decided on the stage 2 instead.

the tranny is DSG.

would be nice to get a DQ500 at some point

Wossner pistons and ZRP rods, that smells like they came from  TSR Performance .

the plan is to take the car to TSR for mapping once built. a few mates have had their cars mapped at TSR

I went there last year , really impressed with the place.

Were those cars FI R32s though? Or at least n/a based platforms with FI fitted retrospectively? Not knocking TSR in the slightest as I haven't used them but what I do know is you need a good mapper when running FI using the standard management with these cars as you haven't got a MAP sensor to rely on.

Yeah I'm sure I've seen blanking kits specify that they're designed for the mk4 or mk5 rather than both. Maybe worth seeing what Awesome GTI can do as I'm sure 034 motorsports do a kit.

If it's just a blanking plate that makes the difference.
Make one/get one made... may be quicker/cheaper than looking for the mk5 alternative.
