Always said forced induction without any charge cooling was a recipe for disaster on the R32 platform. Hopefully once it’s rebuilt you can enjoy some trouble free ownership.

Grey stage 1 with engine rebuild? Looks like it might be Ben and Simon's old car.

If so nice to have it back on the forum!

Welcome, from nick are you Buckinghamshire?

Would always reccomend with ANY form of FI, that guys use intercoolers/chargecoolers.

We know of plenty of NA engines that have got hot enough to melt themselves, under the impression TRD have actual charger bolt ons that add to the stage 2 package, personally would reccomend a nice big front mount :)

I was under the impression the stg1 kits could not get the stg2 cooler fitted.  The chargers are different.

Hi Bucks,  Please share your experience on this site if Stealth can fit a cooler to the stg 1 TRD kit.  Any idea of cost??

Is it front mount air type intercooler?

Engine back in, driven for around 200 miles, leaking oil from possibly breather system, any one way values or anything to look for. No obvious area of leaking

Always said forced induction without any charge cooling was a recipe for disaster on the R32 platform. Hopefully once it’s rebuilt you can enjoy some trouble free ownership.
