Slight electrical glich

Hi,everyone just had a weird series of events happen to my r32 mk5 Had the red steering wheel light come on for about 2seconds steering went hard but almost immediately went back to normal also lost heater control for about 10 mins but that also came back on.Could this be faulty battery connections.Any suggestions.

Do you have access to VCDS to see what fault codes are stored? Anything that interfered with your steering, even for a short time, is worth investigating. The rack is electric on a MkV.

 

 

FWIW, these cars are quite fussy/sensitive on batteries. Odd behaviour isn't unheard of when the battery isn't in good condition.
