hi all just putting the feelers out there , had a vw r32 mk4 , and miss it loads, always wanted an rsi due to the individuality of them , but at £40+ k they are out of my price range, i love messing about with car , and thought if i can find a cheap enough mk4 r32 and a cheap beetle then i could do a body off conversion . any thoughts, has any one done this, just want to do something different?

Yes, either that or an Audi A3 3.2.

The MK4 electronics are going to integrate into the Beetle platform. The MK5 uses far more advanced CAN BUS systems.

It's MUCH easier to stick with the same generation of electronics.
