pretty sure your slip ring will be fine from a 2008 car, yes the air bag fits.

if your only buying the wheel then yes a new loom to incorporate the MFSW into the wiring will be needed.

I'm thinking of fitting sterring controls to my MK5 56 plate car. Will I need anything else apart from the buttons (module and if so, which one)?

Also, 7 buttons work. Which ones?

About to do this retrofit just gathering parts. I have a 2007 R32, does anyone know when VW changed over to the 'G' indicator stalk? and 'C' clockspring?

Also can the mk5 MFSW harness be re-used on the new Mk6 wheel and airbag?

Cheers
