Thanks for the photos!
Post-Inters nothing much was happening or planned, I needed to pull my finger out and try to repair the damaged splits but I couldnt be bothered. Needed to get back the love with the R so spoke to Luke & Phil at Plush and we decided something new was needed and the boat had to be pushed out, all the work was to be done for Edition38 and the next phase would be unveiled then.....however en route to Edition38 I was around halfway when it ended with disaster, loads of warning lights, temp went sky high, and I then found myself on the hard shoulder with a snapped aux belt, once the AA turned up he confirmed that my alternator tensioner was knackered so no roadside fix could be done and I was on the back of a trailer heading the 80miles back home and didnt make the show. Gutted wasnt the word, even the Plush lads seemed to be gutted I wasnt there to show off their latest masterpiece.
Anyway once the car was back at JKM they have confirmed the tensioner is shot to pieces so new one ordered and belt will be fixed today and we can then see if anymore damage was caused (hoping not).
Anyway a few photos to document the last month or so with the car! Thanks to Plush Automotive, Detailed Car Care, the AA and JKM Performance for all this.
Firstly with regards to the work done at Plush, I spoke extensively with Luke and told him I wanted something different, something that people would be blown away by (hopefully) and I wanted lights! The rest of it I left with Luke....once the updates started coming through I was blown away with what him and Phil had cooked up.....even just the first photo of a trimmed tank looked amazing...

Top work!
Bad luck with the belt bud. do you use the scene tape often?
Not as much now as the bumper has plenty of stone chips, but usually to shows yes as its easier to remove the tape and buff out some very slight tape marks than trying to get rid of all them sodding bugs!

Ooh dear, that apart you have done some high quality work and it shows. Being not that bright though, what belt is that ?
Cheers
I called it the alternator belt, however been told its a serpentine belt, aux belt and sure someone else has called it something.....anyway runs off alternator and drives the water pump, power steering and the a/c so I am led to believe

Finally made it to Ultimate Dubs after plenty of worrying if I would make it after hiccups along the way (its difficult trying to build a car when working away) but heres some photos I have found on the net from the show!
Thanks to everyone for the photos.

Lots more to come this year I hope
Thanks for looking

Morning guys, long time no speak to most of you. I am looking for some advice if possible, over the last year I have been smoothing my engine bay and a few other things however the work has taken a little too long and money has ran a little dry so I am looking to start selling the car in bits.
But I am looking for advice on pricing, how much would you consider a rolling smoothed and recently painted shell would sell for? I can attach photos tomorrow when I am not at work, but the work was carried by a specialist and the bay is lead filled so its a proper job. The rest of the car had a full respray in black again just before Xmas once the bay was finished and now has a US spec rear bumper fitted.
On top of that what sort of price could I be looking to get for the engine, its done 90000 miles and want to try and sell as the lot so complete with loom, ecu and box.
Appreciate any input, and hi to a lot who ive not spoken to in a long time!

If you were talking a full panel rolling car I would imagine given the work you might see 2k? Appreciate you'd probably want more but unfortunately it is just a mk 4 shell. If it had bumpers etc... Probably get another grand on top.
Mikes the best person to talk to about full engine prices, ive seen them ranging from 1500-2500 for a lump and box with ecu and loom so really depends at the time.

Yeah I would be looking to sell with bumpers and all that. I have some photos of how it would be sitting and it would be rolling.
