What colour are you going on the wheels pal?
I have gloss black on mine, (on my now black R) but am thinking of changing to anthracite

I just re painted my mirrors the other day, did mine with guns tho, I too ended up with a couple of runs but managed to wet sand them out with 1500 and polish them up with g6 and now they look sweet.

I thought about wet sanding them back a little bit but my mate reckoned I would have done more harm then good so I didn't bother and kept spraying till I had minimum runs. I'm left with one small run that you can only see in close up view.
Nice! Well I thought about black on black but everybody has kind of done that now so I'm either going copper or most probably white.

Managed to fit the rears tonight after work washed my arches and the inside of my wheels too. Should receive polo top mounts and new top mount bearing tomorrow from psi tuning.

Didn't manage to get photos of my clean wheel's because it was dark by the time I was done. The rear is currently sitting higher than standard so I will have to lower it down at the weekend. Need to tackle my front's tomorrow

Going to decat and remap soon and then probably leave it at that for the rest of the year, I need to finish my mk2 and go on holiday

Bilstein are the best (although I love my KW V3's) because they are easily adjusted when needed.
Don't forget to have your car professionally aligned (Hunter laser rigs are best) after you have changed the suspension.

Holiday?! You need a charger and a trip to the Ring
Ha I would love a charger and to go back to the ring, I'll speak to the missis.

I am seriously hoping they settle down loads though as I currently have 10mm of thread left on the front and 15mm on the rears and I personally think its about 10mm lower than original. If I lifted the coils all the way up I reckon the car would be higher than my pickup

Gave her a quick wash tonight because of the builder working next door to my house using disc cutters all day making my car super dusty

More updates soon when my new wheels and spacers turn up next week 😃

Hello Robin

Right I have lowered the coils as far as they go now

....Never ever lower coilovers as far as they will go! You should always leave at least a few turns for tolerance/headroom - That's definitely advised on KW, is Bilstein any different in this respect?

I have also put a deposit down on a set of new wheels

And I got a quote today off a fairly local detailer today.
Enhancement Detail (2 day booking) - £450 - this would see a

Correction Detail (3+ day booking) - £600 - this would see the paintwork being near perfect as possible.

What wheels? You might aswell get the full detail
As much as I would like to get the full detail I also don't have £600 to chuck at my cars body work

Mot PASS

:Both front macpherson strut has slight movement at the upper attachment :/ what part is that? I'm guessing its on the lower control arm or something?
:Play in steering rack
And this bit makes me laugh they also 'HAD' to wrote down under tray fitted obscuring some components and engine cover fitted obscuring some components in the engine bay. They now have to write that for all car and are not allowed to take them off to look. He said for instants if there was a wheel but missing it would be an mot failure but if the car had a hub cap it would because they wouldn't ba bale to see the missing nut. What the hell?

Anyway the new ones are zito's with good falken tyres on them, ET20 all round with 25mm spacers on back and 15mm on front.
The front has lovely poke but the rears in my opinion need adjustable tie arms just to bring the top out a bit.
All in all very happy

Please excuse the stone chips

What do you think?
Cheers
Alex
