The dealer cost is probably just for oil change as VW don't see the Haldex Gen 2 filter as a service part. The price is their normal "fixed price" for the Haldex service.

Personally, I would pay the extra and get the filter changed too. The Awesome price probably includes the filter.

On the quote it just states Haldex Oil so I have asked for clarification if it includes filter.

Also what a lot of people don't know is that on some Haldex units there is a filter on the pump that gets clogged up. The pump is at the bottom so all the gunge that the haldex filter misses eventually clogs up the pump filter and, like mine, can stop the pump working. VW don't touch this pump in a Haldex service, so it gets overlooked. It doesn't take long to get this pump out when servicing the haldex and its just a gauze filter that can be taken off and cleaned. Might be worth considering if your going to keep the car .
