Just received Carly adapter through the post. Ran a diagnostic on my 2008 r32 and fault 'immobiliser P0003' appeared. Tried to clear but it remains to stay every time I run a diagnostic.

Any previous experiences before I do a little bit of google searching of my own.

P0003 is a generic code for fuel pressure regulation. It probably didn't have the P???

I suspect VCDS would show this fault code as:

0003 - control module defective.

That's possible from someone dicking with the instrument cluster, instead of doing the job properly, or "correctling" the milage (maybe a replacement cluster?).

Does your immo light on the dash show when you first turn on the ignition?

It's possibly something you're going to have to live with.

Fault code P0003 control module displayed. I think you're right, cluster may have been modified during import phase. Its a jap import r32.

And as for immo light on the dash, do you mean when you turn the key, all warning lights up as a test? Then yes it comes up but doesn't remain there. No instrument warning lights. Just a fault code through Carly coding adapter

Is your cluster in MPH and KM/h? (Like UK spec ones) If so, it would have been changed, as the Jap R32s came with a KM/h only speedo.

The Immobiliser is probably intact, but they may have changed the face to MPH one, and reflashed the cluster to read correctly (the scale is different) and didn't quite get the data correct somewhere.

It's probably not worth chasing the "fault" unless you have issues with the function of the unit at some stage.

Yes, yes and yes.

Yeah I don't think theres any point chasing this fault. Don't think its a big deal anyway. Car seems fine.

My indicator tick doesn't work, but worked when I got it back from vw for a dsg service. Then the following morning stopped working. You reckon in the process of the cluster conversion it messed up the noise at some stage?
