After selling my last R that I never really wanted to sell I've been looking everyday to get another but I came across this, it's not too pretty at the moment but I've got plenty of plans for it it's a bit of a sleeper at the moment

I was planning on supercharging an r32 when I got one but now there's no need. Hpa/hgp turbo power

Sweet ride dude, please don't turn this into an R32 lookalike... Keep it a sleeping 4mo & make some subtle aesthetic changes.. I have lots of plans for my 4mo with forced induction etc.. But I'm keeping the 4mo look in order to surprise the crap out of others, especially her big brother R32's! giggles!

If I do that I need a different intercooler as my bumper will not fit how it is ATM I need the 2 side ones or a smaller front mount .

I really wanted an r32 I love everything about them but I've got this so was gonna make it look like one with all genuine parts then I'd be happy plus it will still show any standard r32 who's boss haha

Before you go 'all mad' with this. Have you thought of buying a nice R, swapping the turbo into that and selling the 4-Mo ?

I can only imagine you'll wish you had an R after spending ÂŁÂŁÂŁÂŁ's on the 4-mo. Have a real hard think before you continue - I know I did many years ago when I planned to buy a 4mo (very nearly bought one too!) and then I realised I wanted the better handling, better suspension, leather, blah blah blah...

Food for thought...

PS: From what you've just posted above, do this: Write a rough list of things you want to do with the 4mo (mods). Then compare to what the R has as standard. Look on Ebay and other Mk4 threads to asses the cost for all the plans. It's likely buying an R will be wayyyy cheaper than making a 4mo into one.

Hmm I didn't think of that haha I might actually sit down, write a list out and see what it's gonna cost etc , I'd love a DBP 3 door again you've got me thinking now

The thing is... A 2.8 simply isn't an R32 & therefore in my opinion, a 4mo 2.8 has more scope to customise/personalise to exactly the way you want it, plus you get the element of surprise by having a 2.8 that's far more powerful than your standard R32.
It's always a shame to change the look of an R32, almost sacrilege some would say... Therefore your limited to the confines of aesthetic modification too!!
So on that note.. Do you really want to turn a 4mo into a R32??? Fact is its not a 3.2, it's a 2.8 with a nice twist.!!
If you really want a 3.2, you best get one & as stated by our friend.. You have a nice turbo set up you could swap over??
More food for thought.

The intercoolers used on all the Hgp kits are the side mounts from VW group 1.8T BAM engined cars. Audi TT 225, Audi S3, Seat Leon Cupra R. Just get another one of those, theyre dirt cheap on ebay.

Extremely stealthy looking car btw, I thought it was the 425 kit that was single intercooled? The 380 kit was definitely non intercooled

I'm not sure which kit it has mate as someone bought the kit but vagtech didn't install it the previous owner of the car did it but with a bit of help from someone at vagtech that he knew, I'm getting a few bits done to it then gonna take it somewhere to have a few bits done. Possibly hybrid/recondition the turbo, check the injectors and clutch, get a haldex controller of some sort if it doesn't have one.

Still looking for some brakes though not sure which ones to go for, seen a set of Porsche callipers and ebc discs that I had on my old r32 or go with some LCR brembos.
