Jus a quick one, When swapping standard heated leather seats for recaro wingback heated seats is it a straight swap electrical wise? As Recaros don't have lumbar support do they, and do the wires for heated seats just plug out out and straight in? Cheers

Recaros.don't have airbags, like.the standard seats, so you need to add a resistor across the airbag connector or you'll get the airbag light on. More info at the link below;

As you say, Recaros don't have adjustable lumbar support.

As far as I'm aware the connections for the heating is the same.

I badly want to exhange my front standards for recaros! Did you purchase them from ebay? I'm hoping to do the same when I finally buy mine, and was wondering if someone could fit them. Please let me know how you get on.
Nah they're really hard to come by I was the same really wanted some been looking for months and then I decided to take my quest to get them further and started looking on autotrader for 32s with the wingbacks in and decided to send a few emails and texts to the sellers and after all the declines I finally got a positive reply off someone who was willing to do a deal with me.
You can find them also on german eBay but are ridiculously expensive!

I REALLY want these seats too.... Which car are they from, mk5.? Or are the RS4's...?? I keep looking for some on eBay but at nearly ÂŁ2k just for the fronts I can't really justify it right now. I will keep looking though.
Off a mk5 32 mate cant really see in the pic but do have the R badge on them and they are the bollocks! But I believe this seats in the RS4s are exactly the same apart from R badge and RS4 badge on them? They get hot a lot quicker than the normal seats too! As I said earlier have a crack at getting hold of people on autotrader pistonheads etc?

Is that the only difference..?? I thought perhaps the RS4's were electrically adjustable or something.? dde01 They were an option on the mk5 R32 though weren't they... So I'm guessing they're not that common..??
Option on the Mk6 R as well , as far as I know you cannot spec them on the Mk7 R though.

The wing backs are dear because they are an expensive option and desirable. The rs4 ones are just better! Unsure if you could get the inflating side bolsters to work in a retro for though Mk5 ones you could pick up for 1500. Judging by the cars that go up for sale it must be around 1 in 4 that have wing backs Fabric wing backs are super rare
ÂŁ3,500 optional extra from new I believe? Your more than likely gonna have to give up your old seats aswel as around 1500!
Worth it tho actually transforms the car! I would probably say a lot rarer than 1 in 4 actually

What people forget when they quote the option price for the Leather Recaros is that the leather option for the standard seats was around ÂŁ1,600 so if you take that into account the actual cost to upgrade to Recaros was less than ÂŁ1k, as was reflected in the ÂŁ950 option cost for cloth Recaros.
